NexShapers is a Vision AI engineering company building intelligent systems that enable machines to see, understand, analyze and respond to the real world.
What NexShapers builds, and why.
NexShapers is a Vision AI engineering company. We design and build systems that let machines see, understand, analyze and respond to the physical world — through cameras that already exist, sensors that are being installed, and edge hardware that brings intelligence to the point of capture.
Our work spans the full stack of a vision system: data acquisition, model training and optimization, real-time inference, tracking and analytics, and the APIs, dashboards and alerts that make results usable by people and other software. We build custom systems rather than resell a platform, because every environment — a production line, a city intersection, a retail floor, a construction site — defines success differently.
Clients come to us with an operational question: is this product defective, is someone in a restricted zone, how long is the queue, which vehicles entered the site. Our job is to turn that question into a reliable system that answers it continuously, at the scale and latency the operation requires.
Where we are headed.
To engineer intelligent vision technologies that help organizations understand their environments, improve operations and make better decisions.
To shape a smarter world where visual intelligence enables safer environments, more efficient industries and more informed decisions.
Four beliefs behind every system.
- 01
Start from the decision
A vision system exists to improve a decision or an action. We define that first, then work backwards to the perception needed to support it.
- 02
Reality over benchmarks
Validation happens on footage from the real site — with its lighting, occlusion and camera quirks — not on curated datasets.
- 03
Intelligence at the edge
Inference runs as close to the camera as the problem allows. Latency stays low, bandwidth stays predictable and footage stays on site.
- 04
Honest about uncertainty
Confidence scores, failure modes and limitations are documented and surfaced, so operators know when to trust the system and when to look.
Engineering principles.
The non-negotiables that shape how we design, build and run vision systems.
- 01
Modular by design
Detection, tracking, analytics and delivery are separate layers with explicit contracts, so each can be upgraded without rebuilding the rest.
- 02
Measured before optimized
Every optimization — quantization, pruning, batching — is measured against accuracy on representative data before it ships.
- 03
Reproducible pipelines
Training runs, model versions and deployment artifacts are versioned and containerized so results can be reproduced and audited.
- 04
Privacy by default
Systems are designed to extract events, counts and attributes rather than identities unless identification is explicitly required and authorized.
- 05
Operable in production
Monitoring, alert deduplication, drift detection and clear operator interfaces are part of the system, not an afterthought.
- 06
Integrated, not isolated
Results flow into the tools people already use — VMS platforms, ERP systems, dashboards, messaging — through documented APIs.
How a System Comes to Life.
Five stages, each with explicit deliverables, so progress and risk are visible from the first workshop to the live deployment.
- 01
Discover — Understand the business challenge.
We start with the operational question, not the model. Site walkthroughs, sample footage and conversations with the people who will use the system define what success looks like and what constraints exist: lighting, camera placement, connectivity, privacy and integration.
- Problem definition
- Feasibility assessment on sample data
- Success criteria and constraints
- 02
Design — Define the architecture and AI approach.
We select the perception approach, the hardware target and the integration surface. Edge versus server placement, model candidates, data strategy and the event model are decided here, so the build phase has a clear target.
- System architecture
- Model and hardware selection
- Data and annotation plan
- 03
Develop — Build and validate intelligent systems.
Models are trained or adapted on representative data, pipelines are built around them, and the whole system is validated against the success criteria using held-out footage from the real environment.
- Trained and optimised models
- Inference pipeline and APIs
- Validation report on real footage
- 04
Deploy — Integrate and launch in real environments.
Containerised services are installed on edge devices or servers, connected to cameras and downstream systems, and run in a supervised pilot before going live.
- Deployed edge or server stack
- Integrations with existing systems
- Pilot review and acceptance
- 05
Optimize — Monitor, improve and scale.
Live systems are monitored for drift, false alarms and new conditions. Feedback loops retrain models, rules are tuned, and the deployment is extended to new cameras, sites and use cases.
- Monitoring and drift reports
- Model and rule updates
- Scale-out plan
